However in recent days there was presentation in ICANN 58 at Copenhagen -
About blockchain and DNS.

It seems the research is more preliminary in nature. As namecoin
implementation is totally ignored.

This space for blockchain work to be done is very massive as entire
function of internet governance can be shifted to blockchain. (
