Hi, folks– Okay, I'm getting excited by the positive feedback so far for the Blockchains and the Web Workshop. I've gotten lots of interest in the workshop, and many of you have introduced me to new people to talk to, and even additional suggestions for the Program Committee. As far as the PC… it's really filling up! At this point, we've got almost 25 people [1], and with only resources for 60 attendees, over 1/3 will be on the PC… I'm not sure if that's good or bad. :D At the very least, it shows interest! Based on all this interest so far, I'm wondering if I should look for additional sponsors so we can accommodate more than 60 people… we have room, but we'll need more money for lunches, tables, etc. What do you think, should we try to open up more slots? I don't want the event to get so large that it becomes unproductive, but I don't think we're at risk of that just yet. If you think we should try to increase the number of attendees, please let me know what you think the maximum number should be, keeping in mind that this is a workshop, and not a conference. Also, if we do want to open it up, we'll need at least one more sponsor (say, $1500-2000 for 30 more people). If you have ideas on who could sponsor, let me know offlist.
