Hi Steffen, here is a randomly picked example ("illegal") from PANGAEA, link directly to json (so you don't need to extract from landing page): [https://doi.pangaea.de/10.1594/PANGAEA.952033?format=metadata_jsonld] Please note, not all "terms" have a global unique @id because some of them are only defined in our internal PANGAEA terminologies. But, the terms with an @id going to QUDT, CHEBI, WORMS/ITIS,... are external terms from terminologies we use. This is an example from this dataset - please note that the "density" term is derived from the unit (µg/l): Uwe Am 18.10.2023 um 15:56 schrieb Karam, Naouel: > Hi Steffen, > > Thanks for reaching out after our discussion. > I discussed your suggestion in our NFDI4Biodiversity bioschemas meeting today and my colleagues and I are eager to support your efforts. > We will be linking some examples from our project partner PANGAEA (my colleague Uwe Schindler is in Cc), specifically for variableMeasured where their practical (illegal) solution was to use subjectOf to introduce DefinedTerms. > > Best wishes, > Naouel > > > -----Original Message----- > From: Neumann, Steffen<sneumann@ipb-halle.de> > Sent: Friday, October 13, 2023 9:50 AM > To:public-bioschemas@w3.org > Cc: Karam, Naouel<naouel.karam@fokus.fraunhofer.de> > Subject: How we got DefinedTerms as accepted type into a property > > Hi Naouel from NFDI4Biodiversity, > > I fully agree that it'll be great to have more DefinedTerms using (Obofoundry) Ontologies in (Bio)schemas markup. > > We had the same idea about a year ago in > https://github.com/BioSchemas/specifications/issues/594 > > and chimed in into the more general SchemaOrg issue discussion at > https://github.com/schemaorg/schemaorg/issues/2734 > and a bit more successfully in > https://github.com/schemaorg/schemaorg/issues/3250 > > If you weigh (in especially in the last one) we might get a few more DefinedTerms in.
