Hi Thanks to those who attended the Validation meeting yesterday. We had a really productive session. Full notes available in the agenda document https://docs.google.com/document/d/1IcamofWXzeJO87QE_XoGwIdLOKKcAGV3Mp7RplwshfQ/edit# Below I outline the actions that came out of the meeting. It looks like we have two validation tools that should shortly be available to the community for use, although further development work will continue to be needed. @danbri@danbri.org<mailto:danbri@danbri.org> we’ll be updating the Bioschemas page with details of software in due course (see first action item). Best regards Alasdair Actions: Update Bioschemas Software page<https://bioschemas.org/software/> with details of how our existing validators can be used * FAIRchecker (Alban) * ManchesterValidator (Gloria/Alan/Chris) Update Markup Checking tutorial<https://bioschemas.org/tutorials/howto/howto_check_deploy> * Replace Google SDTT with Schema.org Validator (Alasdair) * Add a Bioschemas Validation section (or separate tutorials linked from the existing one) with * Validation using FAIRchecker (Alban) * Validation using ManchesterValidator (Gloria/Alan/Chris) Investigate using Data Discovery Engine for profile development (Alasdair/Ginger) -- Alasdair J G Gray Associate Professor in Computer Science, School of Mathematical and Computer Sciences Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, UK. Ideally with shacl or shex definitions but even just natural language would be fantastic. For generic validation of json-ld syntax, rdfa, microdata syntax etc hopefully validator.schema.org<http://validator.schema.org> will meet basic needs, although I hope pure opensource tools will converge too. Looking forward to reading the notes, Dan On Tue, 13 Jul 2021 at 09:34, Gray, Alasdair <A.J.G.Gray@hw.ac.uk<mailto:A.J.G.Gray@hw.ac.uk>> wrote: Hi All, Just a wee reminder of the validation meeting taking place on Thursday.
