Re: Bioschemas Validation Meeting

Hi

Thanks to those who attended the Validation meeting yesterday. We had a really productive session.

Full notes available in the agenda document
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1IcamofWXzeJO87QE_XoGwIdLOKKcAGV3Mp7RplwshfQ/edit#

Below I outline the actions that came out of the meeting. It looks like we have two validation tools that should shortly be available to the community for use, although further development work will continue to be needed.

@danbri@danbri.org<mailto:danbri@danbri.org> we’ll be updating the Bioschemas page with details of software in due course (see first action item).

Best regards

Alasdair

I can’t make it on Thursday but it would be incredibly useful to have a single place that points to any/all known systems that consume (i.e. parse/extract and do something) data that includes bioschemas vocabulary. Ideally with shacl or shex definitions but even just natural language would be fantastic.

For generic validation of json-ld syntax, rdfa, microdata syntax etc hopefully validator.schema.org<http://validator.schema.org> will meet basic needs, although I hope pure opensource tools will converge too.

Looking forward to reading the notes,

Dan
