Pull Request Issued to Schema.org

Hi All

I’m pleased to announce that we have issued a pull request to get six of our types integrated into Schema.org. You can see the pull request at
https://github.com/schemaorg/schemaorg/pull/2699

The types included are:

  *   BioChemEntity
     *   ChemicalSubstance
     *   Gene
     *   MolecularEntity
     *   Protein
  *   Taxon

Hopefully this will be the first of many pull requests as we try to speed up the process of getting ideas into Schema.org.

Things that you can do to help this is to

  1. Highlight places where you are consuming the markup to use in applications or to populate registry records
  2. Update your deployed markup to match these if you haven’t done so already

Best regards

Alasdair
