Re: Feedback on Markup in FAIRsharing and Identifiers.org

Hi Daniela,

In JSON-LD markup, the @id property should be used to declare the identifier of the resource that you are providing markup for.

The url property should be used to provide links to pages about the resource, while the sameAs property should be used if you want to make the assertion that the two pages should be considered equivalent.

In the case of FAIRsharing, they do not use the sameAs link as they are providing a record about a dataset rather than the dataset itself. In that case a url link allows a connection between the dataset provided by the data provider and the FAIRsharing record to be made.

    Hi Alaisdair,
in InterMine (e.g. https://test.intermine.org/covidmine/) we use the
property "url" to set the url of the intermine page which describes the
dataset and the property "sameAs" to point back to the datasource.
Is that correct or do we have to use url?
    Thanks!
