Governance proceedures

Hi All

It is great to see that progress is being made in lots of areas of the Bioschemas project. However, it has also brought to light that we are going to need more stringent governance procedures. When we meet at the start of October we will need to agree what processes we should be following, in particular for:

  *   updating specifications/types
  *   adding specifications/types
  *   removing specifications/types
  *   renaming specifications/types

Just so everyone is aware, BiologicalEntity has been replaced with PhysicalEntity and Record. This has hopefully only affected proteins and samples, but obviously we should have more discussion on such changes in the future. If you want more of the reasoning behind the change, have a look at the following email

Looking forward to seeing you all in October.

Alasdair

The issue that has brought this to light is update that was made in the following linked email
https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-bioschemas/2017Sep/0013.html
The removed the BiologicalEntity and replaced it with PhysicalEntity and Record. This has hopefully only affected proteins and samples, but obviously we should have more discussion on such changes in the future.

Looking forward to seeing you all in October.
