Hi everyone, April sessions were held last Friday. During these, the topics on the agenda were addressed. You will find below the outcomes of the discussions point by point. The next BDCoMa CG sessions will be held on FRIDAY, 3RD MAY at #1 for ASIA-EU call and #2 for US-EU call. ************ Session Report ************ [0] INTRODUCTION OF NEW MEMBERS New members attended the sessions and brought new skillsets. This group still being in its inaugural phase, new comers are still welcome without major catch-up necessary. [1] DISCUSS THE VALIDATION OF THE CHARTER The charter has been definitively approved. The final version will be available on Google Drive, Github and the W3C page swiftly. [2] ORGANIZE CHAIR(S) SELECTION Samuel Petit, CEO of the french distribution platform Sequencity, has been officially appointed chair for Europe. Two seats remain to be filled: one for Asia and one for America. [3] DEFINE THE CONDUCT OF SESSIONS Sessions will be held monthly, both time slots within the same day. Each type of digital comics will be approached separately. Identifying all use cases and features in the process. Discussions on specific points will continue as long as members deem it necessary. A scribe will be needed for each session. Minutes will be written and placed on Google Drive. [4] DOCUMENTATION AND CONTRIBUTIONS Exchanges between sessions can be held by mail. Informations will then be versed at #3. A repository has been created on Google Drive for everyone to edit and store contributions accessible at #4. [5] IDENTIFY THE FIRST USE CASE TO BE APPREHENDED Discussions lead to describe Webtoon and to define a more detailed approach that is susceptible to be the main focus for additional sessions. [6] ESTABLISH THE PROGRAM OF THE NEXT SESSION According to members feedback, next session agenda will address the following points : - Overview of the different uses of the scroll feature in digital comics (among which Webtoon); - Defining the conceptual notions underlying the scroll feature; - What can be done with EPUB and what cannot; - Metadata from an author's point of view.
