Starting to read: Truth - Meaning - Reality by Paul Horwich Oxford, 2010 So far so good. Can't wait to get to his treatment of reference. I'm reminded of the beginner's question about the purpose of EVAL in Lisp: "But why would you ever write (EVAL '(+ 1 2)) ? Isn't it simpler to just say (+ 1 2) ?" Jonathan
