The mission of the Automotive Working Group is to develop Open Web Platform specifications for application developers, enabling Web connectivity through in-vehicle infotainment systems and vehicle data access protocols. The Group is in the process of rechartering and the draft charter [2] is continuing to evolve in its scope. More information about this group and information about participation can be found on its home page [3]. The group is currently chaired by Paul Boyes (Invited Expert), Patrick Luennemann (Volkswagen) and Peter Winzell (Volvo).
