Re: ws-test - WebSocket Test Framework

All,

I want to be clear, our purpose of sharing these tests was not to have everyone have to download the OpenCar SDK (although that would be great), but to provide a potential implementation with working examples as to how the Automotive WG might write their tests. Clearly this test framework would need to be adapted to testing the VISS.

Thanks Paul for sharing, seems to easily blend with REST tests.. I am wondering how it could fit with a test that e.g. starts a song playback via POST and then listens for offset changes on websocket... But we will find out :)

As promised, we have placed our WebSocket test framework on GitHub.

The README explains how to set it up and use it. Although we have not implemented the new VISS, it can be run against our freely downloadable SDK (https://insidetrack.opencar.com/application/login) as an example of use. If you like it, we would greatly appreciate collaboration to make it better.

I would like to especially thank Steve Ohmert for taking my hacked up version and making this happen.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
