RE: Unable to attend tomorrow 10/23 (the dog ate my homework)

Hi John,
I agree that most of the time decorative images should be in CSS. However that's not an accessibility problem, so I don't see how it relates to 1.1.1. Can you clarify?

Happy Birthday Birkir!

I probably won't make the call today either ...

I was wondering if really the problem (open question) in SC 1.1.1 regarding purely décorative images and F39 ... doesn't imply something bigger ... that including purely decorative images (that have no roles of any kind either) in your html code should really become as obsolete as using the <center> tag ...

Should not these images be in the page background specified in the style-sheet?

Just a thought.

Until later everyone,

John

Hey guys

No, we don’t have a dog, not even a guide dog.
Tomorrow is effectively my last day with a Deque corporate client that I have worked with for over a year.
I am being moved to a new client, leading a support team.
Both clients are on the Fortune 500 list and are huge companies, needless to say the work can get dicy.
So tomorrow, which is incidentally my birthday, I have been booked for 8 hours of continuous meetings to hand over my projects.
10/24 is effectively my last day at current client but by end of tomorrow I will basically be done.
So 10/24 I am going to start out Twitter campaign and work on my issues, so expect an email to the list.
Sorry for the late notice, but one never knows how the meeting schedule works out, and I am not able to reschedule any meetings because of the situation. Generally I keep our meeting spot open in my calendar..
This one is nastier than I thought.
Behave kids, and don’t do anything I wouldn’t do. *grin*
Cheers
