Automated WCAG Monitoring Community Group Teleconference 2014-11-11, 16:00 - 17:00 h (CET) Participants: Wilco (chair), Frank, Kamyar, Annika (scribe) ITEM 1: Action items See updated list in the wiki [1]. ITEM 2: Review of SC3-2-3-navigational-links-across-pages Kamyar updated the test. The current version is v0.2 [2]. The comments from v0.1 have been addressed. Wilco: Definitions, e.g. "Internal link" should be created as new wiki pages, so that they can be used by other tests. Discussion of Annika's comments: Do return-statements finish the processing of the test case? What happens if there is a return statement inside a loop? Decisions: * The test procedure always finishes with a return statement. * Each step either has a "return" statement or a "continue with step X" statement. Kamyar is going to update the test procedure according to the discussion. Kamyar: Do we need other tests for SC 3.2.2? Wilco: The SC is not fully covered. But we are done for the first round when the updates are made. ITEM 3: Discussion of accessibility support Postponed. ITEM 4: Discussion: What and how to ask users questions? The wiki template for the user questions contains: * What is presented to the user? * The question for the user. * Answer options. (Wilco: Default answer options should be "yes", "no", "cantTell". In some cases "not applicable" is also needed.) * Help text (optional). Wilco: Smarter tools could use machine learning to answer user question. We should add an option that classifies the test as context sensitive or not. E.g. checking a text alternative without looking at the whole page. Annika: Classify if the user has to interact with the page to answer the question, e.g. to check keyboard oparability. Wilco: Add instructions on the wording of the questions, use of varibles. The text should be in plain language. Annika is going to create a user testing question template in the wiki. ITEM 5: Final comments The meeting in week 51 is cancelled. The next meeting is on 8 January 2015. Happy holidays and all the best for 2015!
