## ## LTO Notification Summary of Review, Monitoring of Comments and Revision of CAT ## ## Dear Participants in the translation process, This is to inform you that all comments received during the public comments period of the authorized portuguese (pt-pt) translation of WCAG 2.0 have been reviewed and resolved. After the public review period, the stakeholders were asked to review the revised version again and express their approval. 21 persons participated in the revision process, representing the public sector (4), business sector (7), NGOs representatives of users with functional limitations (4) and Academy (6) (see the list of reviewers at http://www.acessibilidade.gov.pt/wcag20). We have reached a broad consensus and we are very confident that the last version is in fact an accurate translation. Everyone reads the document and agrees with the final written. We hereby assume that, in accordance with §5 of the Policy for Authorized W3C Translations <http://www.w3.org/2005/02/TranslationPolicy.html>, the translation process is now complete. ## Comments' Summary During the revision process we received notes from 6 reviewers. One related with the original format of the WCAG's document that we transcribe below: - adding link "jump to the main content" to the document; - adding ARIA landmarks to the document; - H1 is being used more than once in the same page. The others 5 reviewers sent us information about portuguese misspellings, re-writing some paragraphs of the document. The text becomes more in line with the portuguese syntax. These changes made the document more easier to read and to understand. We also refined some concepts like "time based media" that we had translated by "multimédia baseada no tempo" and now we have "media dinâmica ou contínua". We also contacted some additional experts on media, sign language and vision to clarify some terms. We received hundreds of changes. We incorporated about 90% of them. Mostly came to us via Word (track change) that we tried to summarize in the mailing list (see http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-auth-trans-pt-br/2014Sep/0000.html). One of the reviewers made about 5 incremental revisions of the document to align the portuguese syntax. To all the external links to documents related with WCAG 2.0 in English we added the expression "em inglês" and redirected the link to the last version of the documents. For a detailed documentation of all comments that were received during the public comments, please refer to the public mailing list <http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-auth-trans-pt-br/2014Sep/> (in Portuguese). We also want to thank to W3C Office in Brasil with whom we consolidate the first draft of the document merging technically the both version - pt-pt and pt-br - in accordance with the portuguese orthographic agreement of 1990. ## Errata In the website of Unidade ACESSO we created a page to reference the future portuguese version on W3C's website (http://www.acessibilidade.gov.pt/wcag20) and an errata page (http://www.acessibilidade.gov.pt/wcag20/errata) to future changes.
