Oliver, Thanks for the minutes. For " We discussed hotels (book yours ASAP!), flights (prefer SFO to San Jose), how to travel from the airport (don't rent a car if you can avoid it - parking is expensive) etc." Does Google office provide free parking for the conference? Or we have to find the place to park the car by ourselves? Best Regards James -----Original Message----- From: Olivier Thereaux [mailto:Olivier.Thereaux@bbc.co.uk] Sent: Friday, March 01, 2013 2:01 AM To: public-audio@w3.org WG Subject: [Minutes] Audio Wg teleconference, 2013-02-28 Dear all, The Audio WG had a (fairly short and sparsely attended) teleconference today. The minutes are online at: http://www.w3.org/2013/02/28-audio-minutes.html We discussed: * MIDI API security model. https://github.com/WebAudio/web-midi-api/issues/3 ChrisW explained how his further exploring convinced him that the MIDI API was safe except for system exclusive messages. He amended the spec to make sure they worked under a different security model. Participants agreed with the idea, and we resolved to close the issue. * F2F logistics https://www.w3.org/2002/09/wbs/46884/f2f-2013-1-reg We have 13 registrants so far for the f2f meeting, and only a few more days to register. We discussed hotels (book yours ASAP!), flights (prefer SFO to San Jose), how to travel from the airport (don't rent a car if you can avoid it - parking is expensive) etc. There was also a short discussion about organising meetings around MIDI with GDC attendees. F2F agenda coming soon. * Use of EventListener for onaudioprocess https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=20764 We were missing Chris Rogers so didn't discuss this much, but all are encouraged to give it a look as it is an important issue. We will be focussing on it in the next little while. * WebRTC There was a WebRTC/Media Capture meeting recently where some participants emitted doubt as to whether the web audio API was the best choice. Similar discussion to what we've had in the group in the past. Olivier will check with the chairs of the group to see that their concerns are translated into input for our work. * W3Conf Thinking about Web Audio/MIDI at the next W3Conf, tentatively schedule at the end of August in the Durham/Raleigh, NC area. We talked about a presentation, a potential workshop, the possibility of timing either a Last Call or an implementation announcement to coincide, and the chance that we could build more tutorials/a primer with the audio dev community group.
