This is related to an issue we have been tracking at:

At the moment, the group has decided not to add this feature, for the sake of making implementations simple. I do agree there seems to be a need to "walk" a given context, but so far that opinion seems to have been a minority in the group. If you can add comments to the issue and explain use cases which would make this useful, the group will revisit the issue in the future.
