Audio-ISSUE-5 (pause-subgraph): Pausing a subgraph [Web Audio API] http://www.w3.org/2011/audio/track/issues/5 Raised by: Jussi Kalliokoski On product: Web Audio API There has been an ongoing discussion on how to pause a subgraph in the web audio API. The issue was raised in Jussi's e-mail "feedback fro Official.labs" http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-audio/2012JanMar/0297.html “Maybe this part could be interpreted as a need for a way to pause a (sub-)graph's processing and scheduling.” Jer also mentioned the need to pause audio (although that was about the whole audio from any given tab) in http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-audio/2012JanMar/0299.html The issue was discussed in the context of another issue (destroying audiocontext instances) at the 05 March 2012 teleconference: http://www.w3.org/2012/03/05-audio-minutes CRogers said: “There was another issue about pausing a context. There are sufficient controls where this isn't needed but we can discuss that. Any scheduled events with AudioBufferSourceNodes can be cancelled. Any type of HTMLMediaElement can be paused. Volume can be muted on streams. I feel there is sufficient control already.”
