Would it help reach a stronger consensus if we had more feedback on the idea (allow both processing in workers and outside, make workers a default and main-thread with an explicit opt-in) from the developer community? A blog post or two may help - if anyone wants to draft a summary of the discussion we should be able to give you access to the W3C blog. Olivier
