Dear members of the ARIA Working Group, I'm relaying the announcement to the group's primary public mailing list to notify the group of its charter extension. Best regards, Xueyuan Jia, W3C Marketing & Communications -------- Forwarded Message -------- Subject: VOTE by 2021-12-17/18: Proposed Charter for the Accessible Rich Internet Applications Working Group; Current Charter Extended Date: Fri, 19 Nov 2021 23:36:11 +0800 From: xueyuan <xueyuan@w3.org> To: w3c-ac-members@w3.org CC: chairs@w3.org Dear Advisory Committee Representative, Cc Chairs for info, This is a Call for Review of a proposed recharter for the Accessible Rich Internet Applications Working Group: https://www.w3.org/2021/11/draft-aria-charter [...] The mission of the Accessible Rich Internet Applications Working Group is to enhance the accessibility of web content through the development of supplemental attributes. The proposed charter continues work on ARIA modules and resumes work on some accessibility API mappings. Accessibility API Mappings are marked as "living standard" to be published as Candidate Recommendation Drafts instead of Working Drafts as enabled in Process 2021. Licensing of deliverables is changed to use the Software and Document License for all deliverables. A diff from the current charter is available [2]. As the group is moving to Patent Policy 2020, the Advisory Committee Representatives of current participants will need to have their organizations re-join the group if the revised charter is approved. The current charter [3] is hereby extended until 31 January 2022 to accommodate the charter review period. The group is chaired by James Nurthen (Adobe). For more information about the group and participation, see its home page [4]. If you have any questions or need further information, please contact Michael Cooper, ARIA Working Group Team Contact, at <cooper@w3.org>. This charter review and extension follow sections 4.3 and 4.5 of the W3C Process Document: https://www.w3.org/2021/Process-20211102/#CharterReview https://www.w3.org/2021/Process-20211102/#charter-extension Thank you, For Tim Berners-Lee, W3C Director, Michael Cooper, ARIA WG Team Contact; Xueyuan Jia, W3C Marketing & Communications [..] [2] https://services.w3.org/htmldiff?doc1=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2018%2F11%2Faria-charter&doc2=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2021%2F11%2Fdraft-aria-charter [3] https://www.w3.org/2018/11/aria-charter [4] https://www.w3.org/WAI/ARIA/
