Regarding ARIA combobox + aria-activedescendant on Mac?

Hi,
Does anyone know if the historical issue of aria-activedescendant not being supported on role=combobox was ever fixed on the Mac OS?

I know this was an issue I submitted years ago, but I thought it had been fixed a long time ago. E.G.
http://whatsock.com/Templates/Comboboxes/Native%20Inputs,%20Editable%20with%20Substring%20Match/index.htm

I received a report today that this is still broken in the latest Big Sur release however, which is prompting me to ask.
