Got it thanks, can that be changed? According to the ARIA spec, a grid is an interactive widget by itself no matter what it contains. As such, it should not be used simply to group associated interactive widgets. I can't tell you how many headaches I've had in the past few years with people putting role=grid on everything because of stuff like this. While it does not imply a specific visual presentation, it implies a relationship among elements. Use it for simple groupings like a collection of checkboxes or navigation links." This seems very wrong to me, and will only exasurbate the proliferation of improper ARIA Grid constructs across the web. A simple grouping such as this should just be marked up as a simple table, not a grid. Hopefully others here can weigh in with their thoughts.
