There is no PR at present, but this seems to be simply editorial to simply change aria-owns to aria-controls within the references to the 1.0 pattern. It will solve a lot of problems going forward and not do anything to present work on the 1.1 design pattern.

Hi James,

As Matt and I discussed in the APG meeting yesterday, I’d like to add the topic regarding aria-controls versus aria-owns in the 1.0 Combobox design pattern. This is an important and still unresolved discrepancy in the ARIA spec that we have to get resolved, which is being propagated in later revisions of the ARIA spec editions.
