In the last two milestones, in the last half of last year we closed 30 issues ... In the first half of this year we closed 60 issues ... The last half of 2016 we did alot of refinement of the patterns and examples ... Most of the first half of this year we have been cleaning up content and addressing issue raised by reviewers ... I have been reflecting on this... and thinking about what has worked well... ... We have really got alot done this past year, we should be really proud of our work, and I am really happy about it ... Anyone else have anything else to say? Any feedback on the process or improvements? MB: We took a bunch of design patterns out and focuses on what we could complete, that was a positive MK: Has anyone looked at it from an end-to-end process Discussion of next steps MK: We have a status table, which needs some updating ... Do we know when 1.1 will be a recommendation? ... Discussing next milestones ... We will have two more working drafts before ARIA 1.1 goes to recommendations ... Any suggests on improving process MB: The milestones have been useful to me <jamesn> +1 MK: I don't want more treeview stuff, but I think there are higher priority needs JG: I have some students who can take on projects MK: MIlestonse are important for prioritizing development ... Project group related issues in Github.com JG: Image carousel is important MK: There is a W3C example in the EO group, I have problems with it MB: Caorusels are a type of tab MK: I have worked on an image carousel at facebook, we used article role ... There are alot of different ways to ... Right now the carousel 2 issues are in milestone 2 ... I think we should have all the states and properties and widget roles that should be first priority ... States and properties don't align to a specific widget pattern ... like disclosure pattern does not have a role MB: The roles and properties that go with a certain role are in the issues? MK: yes ... Between the 2 status tables, we that carousel was lower priority MB: For the switch design pattern what are the properties MK: It is on and off MB: we will use aria-checked MK: We need design pattern documentation, prose is harder ... The issues with complicated patterns, we have had request break out menu and menubar ... There are issue with the complexity of combobox ... we need to try to simplify JB: I am wiolling to work on design patterns <mck> [9]https://github.com/w3c/aria-practices/wiki/Design-Patterns-D evelopment-Status [9] https://github.com/w3c/aria-practices/wiki/Design-Patterns-Development-Status MK: There should be a purpose of the double thumb MB: A price range is a good example MK: You wnat to variables that there are dependencies MB: A range of something MK: If you change the date range, it may effect another slider MB: What does a double thumb slider do MK: One slider effects the range of another slider ... Date range you want a calendar JG: We will make it a price range MK: I think I will put things related to combobox and switch in a new milestone <MichielBijl> scribe: MichielBijl MB: I think it’s important to promote when we release a new working draft. With the current one there was no mention of it on the ARIA list for example. MK: I enthusiastically agree with that! MB: I talked to Léonie the other day and she suggested we also ask for reviews from other WGs. I think that’s a really good idea. MK: I can write an e-mail with a short change log and send that out. <sirib> where can I see that? <sirib> Michiel Biji said he was looking some of the Matt work NO MEETING NEXT WEEK (10th July) <sirib> ok Thanks RRSAgent: make minutes Summary of Action Items Summary of Resolutions [End of minutes] __________________________________________________________ Minutes formatted by David Booth's [10]scribe.perl version 1.152 ([11]CVS log) $Date: 2017/07/03 18:07:44 $ __________________________________________________________ [10] http://dev.w3.org/cvsweb/~checkout~/2002/scribe/scribedoc.htm [11] http://dev.w3.org/cvsweb/2002/scribe/ Scribe.perl diagnostic output [Delete this section before finalizing the minutes.] This is scribe.perl Revision: 1.152 of Date: 2017/02/06 11:04:15 Check for newer version at [12]http://dev.w3.org/cvsweb/~checkout~/2002/ scribe/ [12] http://dev.w3.org/cvsweb/~checkout~/2002/scribe/ Guessing input format: Irssi_ISO8601_Log_Text_Format (score 1.00) Present: MichielBijl jongund jamesn ShirishaBalusani Found Scribe: jongund Inferring ScribeNick: jongund Found Scribe: MichielBijl Inferring ScribeNick: MichielBijl Scribes: jongund, MichielBijl ScribeNicks: jongund, MichielBijl WARNING: No meeting chair found!
