Testing

cyns: Meeting set for next week, scheduling conflict
   ... Believe it's Wednesday
... Had good discussion and set actions a couple weeks ago
... Actions include UIA Connector, getting expected results into machine readable format, a parser for those, etc

rs: Plan for test cases? test statements?

   cyns: Not me on that

rs: Anyone on IA2? Or Mac?

cyns: Not so far as I'm aware

rs: Urgent item is testable statements with expected results -- Will take up with MC

cyns: Expect to have json format specified by next week -- hopefully

rs: Regardless, test cases could go forward in parallel

cyns: Hoping for json in the test cases themselves
... db would be ok? But current db results not machine readable

rs: JF, do India people know how to write test cases?

jf: Generally speaking, yes, but we need examples
... They would benefit from a pattern to follow
... Hope to have sensitivity to meeting times OK for India

cyns: Hoping we won't need meetings

jf: But may be of use one or two at least at first

   <Rich> https://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/testharness/

   <Rich> https://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/testharness/testcases?testsuite_id=1

rs: above examples from aria 1.0

   <Rich> https://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/testharness/testcases?testsuite_id=1

rs: Anyone able to help write these going forward?
   ... I'll start

cyns: Probably after I finish with infrastructure

<jemma> I am happy to help with test case statement

jf: Think my guys need a walkthrough of what's going on to come up to speed
... Thereafter, they need a list of what needs writing

[room remembers the pain of writing 1.0 test cases]

   Jemma: Can help

Core AAM Blockers

   rs: Activie descendent?

   clown: Need to investigate more
... Wen through spec looking a new roles and filed some issues
... missing role mappings feed, figure, and term

clown, missing properties -- several table, colcount, colindex, colspan, row count, row index, row span

clown: missing mappings for aria details
... believe some will be easy ...

<clown> ACTION: Rich to create mappings based on features in HTML 5.1 spec. [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2016/07/28-aria-minutes.html#action01]

<trackbot> Created ACTION-2102 - Create mappings based on features in html 5.1 spec. [on Richard Schwerdtfeger - due 2016-08-04].

   <clown> action-2102

<trackbot> action-2102 -- Richard Schwerdtfeger to Create mappings based on features in html 5.1 spec. -- due 2016-08-04 -- OPEN

   <trackbot> http://www.w3.org/WAI/ARIA/track/actions/2102

clown: having trouble reaching consensus on aria-errormessage
   ... completes the gap ...

   rs: believe that's it
... Cynthia, when can you look at mappings for Dpub?
   ... They want to update

   <Rich> https://rawgit.com/w3c/aria/master/dpub-aam/dpub-aam.html#mapping_role_table

cyns: Will not implement soon, so will have hard time

rs: Want to makesure IA2 is aligned with atk/at-spi

   cyns: asking about timeline

rs: would like in the next month?

   cyns: not promissing
... May be able to do it while in Lisbon!
   ... will try, cannot promise
... part of the problem is that document structures are hard in uia
... uia not aimed at docs, and it's complicated to support docs

<clown> if this is the latest IA2 documentation, then landmark isn't documented:
   http://accessibility.linuxfoundation.org/a11yspecs/ia2/docs/html/_accessible_role_8idl.html

rs: is role landmark in ia2 spec

clown: not sure i have latest ia2

rs: need to circle back with alex on ia2
... could dedicate time to writing test cases during tpac
   ... any other business?

   <jemma_> thanks

   [meeting adjournes]
