Comment on WAI-ARIA 1.1

Hello,

Here my comments:


  1.  There is to my opinion one very important attribute missing: aria-description. This should be an attributal pendant to aria-describedby, such as aria-label to aria-labelledby.
  2.  Thank you to correctly define the container for rowcount and colcount, namly table or grid. But we should ultimatly change also the container for setsize to be the list or listbox and not listitems or option. That would be consequent and would not make the page code growing with each list item. I think that screen reader implementation has only an easy, little change to make: putting the setsize in a local variable for a list: then it’s the same as using setsize on each item (but only better and faster J ).
  3.  Please add a hint on internationalisation for authors using aria-roledescription. Depending on the main document / application language they have to provide a correct translation of the value of this attribute.
