Thoughts on carousel example options through use of checkboxes in the example and creating a task force

I not sure the use of checkboxes to show all permutations of the carousel example is a good idea.
This seems more like a programmer approach to the problem and will be confusing to many people trying to use the practices to understand the accessibility issues.
The goal is not to show all the different permutations but to help people understand the accessibility issues and solutions.

The key accessibility issues for the carousel options are:

  1. The color contrast issues associated with captions inside or outside of the "slide" area.
  2. The auto playing of slide content on load
  3. Disabling auto playing all together

I would like Sara's recent branch and pull request to be limited to the functionality of changing the auto play to just pause when focus is in the slide or on pointer hover.

I think we need a separate task force to look at how to explain the accessibility issues of the carousel in the practices and which specific permutations of the examples we need to use to illustrate the issues and features.

Remember the other carousel example will need to be updated to reflect these changes in the practices, although this should not be a ton of work.

I am happy to organize the carousel task force and they could meet separately to come up with a proposal for changes to the practices and which example permutations to include.

In general we should be trying to make things simpler, rather than more complex whenever possible, especially for something as complex as a carousel.
