Please Vote on Verifiable Credentials v2.0 – Closes in 24 Hours

HI APA WG members,
If you’re a W3C AC rep and eligible to vote, please do so today: https://www.w3.org/2002/09/wbs/33280/vc20/
Why: Verifiable Credentials v2.0 are potentially quite significantl to accessibility on the web and could benefit people with disabilities. Improving or eliminating CAPTCHA is just one example.
More Context: The Verifiable Credentials v2.0 specifications have reached the Proposed Recommendation stage after years of development. APA has been tracking them because they show real potential to improve accessibility online. For example:

  * CAPTCHA continues to be a frustrating barrier—Verifiable Credentials may offer a path to a privacy-preserving, accessible alternative.
  * The Verifiable Credentials community plans to focus on accessibility-oriented entitlements (e.g., digital parking placards) and has implementations already moving toward production.
  * Work is also underway on accessible presentation of credentials (visual, auditory, braille/haptic) and privacy-preserving a11y preferences.
There are seven specs in total. If you’re comfortable supporting them, your vote helps ratify them as global standards—and signals support for their accessibility potential.
Thanks for considering this on short notice. Happy to answer any questions.
