Re: 48-Hour Call for Consensus (CfC): RQTF Work Statement

Colleagues:

This is a Call for Consensus (CfC) to the Accessible Platform
Architectures (APA) Working Group on the draft Research Questions Task
Force (RQTF) Work Statement document available at:

https://www.w3.org/WAI/APA/task-forces/research-questions/work-statement#main

Background Information

The formation of the RQTF which is the subject of this CfC is explicitly
referenced in our current APA Charter at:

http://www.w3.org/2015/10/apa-charter.html

Specifically, our Charter Scope includes the following statement:

"Identify gaps and questions from accessibility specification reviews
that may need research, and articulate specific questions for discussion
in various fora (this work is expected to be performed in a task
force);"

Also, please note that APA's specified "Other Deliverables" includes the
potential publication of:

"Research reports addressing, as needed, gaps identified during
accessibility reviews of draft specifications, and/or technical
questions emerging through other aspects of accessibility reviews;"

The RQTF defined by the Work Statement in question in this CfC is
intended to satisfy these chartered obligations.

ACTION TO TAKE

This CfC is now open for objection, comment, as well as statements of
support via email. Silence will be interpreted as support, though
messages of support are certainly welcome.

If you object to this proposed action, or have comments concerning this
proposal, please respond by replying on list to this message no later
than 23:59 (Midnight) Boston Time, Thursday 9 June.
