I suggest emphasising on the *intention* or difference between visible text i.e., human-readable, and hidden text. Hence, the difference between `textContent` and something like `innerText` (which takes styling and scripts into account) is important. Which of those (or other properties) to use is practical or appropriate depends on the environment. -- GitHub Notification of comment by csarven Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/web-annotation/issues/59#issuecomment-171952629 using your GitHub account
