@BigBlueHat 1. The default text direction can be automatically identified from the script part of the tag codes. The default script for each language is defiend in the IANA registry. This is all static information. So there is a differentiation to make between the external resources and textual body, and these should probably be explained in a non-normative note. (this should be always the case when redundant information is included in the annotations.
