FYI: annotation on dropbox

FYI: Dropbox rolled out an annotation feature. I did not test it on my iOS devices (ie, I do not know whether it works there at all), but it works on the web view of Dropbox.

As far as I could see, however, it is a limited annotation, insofar as you can annotate a file, but not a selection in the file. On the other hand, it builds in a github-like notification mechanism: the existence of an annotation is sent out by email to a person if you use a '@' identification.


(I was wondering whether such a notification mechanism should be left to implementers or whether this is something we may want to include in the API… My feeling is that this is an implementation specific feature, but I just flagged it just in case…)
