Hi, I'm Werner Bailer, researcher at JOANNEUM RESEARCH [1] in Graz, Austria. In our group, we have been involved in a number of projects dealing with metadata in the cultural heritage domain and audiovisual collections. A current project, EEXCESS [2] aims at making specialized CH resources available to a broader range of users by linking them with social media and mainstream web applications. I have been and I am involved in other standardization initiatives around (audiovisual) metadata, including the W3C Media Annotation WG [3], and the current work in MPEG on a Multimedia Preservation Application Format (which already makes reference to the Open Annotation model). I will try to contribute to the WG as time allows, sharing work with my colleague Martin Höffernig.
