Re: AI KR thoughts, comments from CG members please?

Hello everyone!

Thanks Paola, and all the community for this space, of expressing,
interacting, and exchanging among the universe of semantics, knowledge, and
representation.

As I didn't access this doc yet, due to a time I took without technologies,
I'll get a little of myself introduced on this thread.

My *interest *in ai-kr relies on its complexity and vastness, as central
points of discussion in every area of knowledge may starts in how to
represent the related information, either in paintings, geometries, gests,
vocalizations, words, notes, languages,..., any medium of human
communication, or further.

Mainly, my interest stands for understanding the boundaries and
intersection of knowledge, ai, and representation applied to challenges of
our society in terms of its needings and limitations.

Until now, I've worked since 10 years ago with knowledge-graphs,
ontologies, and logic descriptions concerning Earth Sciences, Healthcare,
IoT and WoT for interoperability and data understanding. My constant
observation is that KR keeps being either an underrated science - i.e. not
on hype, *thankfully - *or, yet, under construction, even though it had
arguably been the foundations of all Sciences and Philosophies.

I do think the technologies and engineering we have about KR are on the way
to reaching its full potential, bringing together the spread of information
we have today over the Web towards a kind of navigating pool of knowledge
web-like, where the knowledge can be discovered efficiently: what brings me
to my nightmares, called standards.

Even though they are completely necessary - without consensus a
communication cannot flow - sometimes I feel that there are groups
overlapping standards for their own interest, instead of the community as a
whole.

Given that, I am ahead of the development of a company, called Mycelion
<http://mycelion.art>, that after some years of planning I am finally
giving it a completely fresh birth. Literally, I just started to bring it
to life this week. The central point of that is heating the
Interoperability concerns in Industry, Politics, and general Services.
