My perspective on the potential of Block Chain for Knowledge Representation Objects is built on my contributions to ANSI / OASIS / ISO specifications for highly distributed Registry / Repository tools which includes ISO/TS 15000 electronic business collaboration https://www.iso.org/standard/39974.html Immutability and contract objects are defined in ebXML Messaging Services http://docs.oasis-open.org/ebxml-msg/ebms/v3.0/core/ebms_core-3.0-spec.pdf The ebXML Registry specification describes objects that reside in a Repository for storage and safekeeping. That information includes the type of metadata that are stored in the registry as well as the relationships among metadata classes. For those thinking about COVID-centric solutions a description of how Reg/Rep may be used for health management is available at https://www.researchgate.net/publication/220094767_Exploiting_ebXML_registry_semantic_constructs_for_handling_archetype_metadata_in_healthcare_informatics enjoy Carl Mattocks It was a pleasure to clarify On Thu, Aug 27, 2020 at 8:14 PM Paola Di Maio <paoladimaio10@gmail.com> wrote: > Carl since you mentioned some hands on experience on BC spreadsheets > please start drafting some ideas examples if you could > maybe KK and her group could also pitch in? > That would be a way of cuttrng through the BC fog > > On Thu, Aug 27, 2020 at 10:18 PM carl mattocks <carlmattocks@gmail.com> > wrote: > >> >> >> Agreed - I am expecting that KR BC will have Immutable KR Objects ...as >> per object-oriented and functional programming, an immutable object is >> an object whose state cannot be modified after it is created. >> >> Carl >> It was a pleasure to clarify >> >> >> On Wed, Aug 26, 2020 at 11:06 PM Paola Di Maio <paola.dimaio@gmail.com> >> wrote: >> >>> Recalling an earlier discussion and >>> without reading the whitepaper, K, >>> an earlier idea I may have talked to Carl (because he said he is working >>> for the BC) >>> and maybe also posted to the group as well >>> is: >>> The role of KR in the Blockchain would be >>> to make sure the Blockchain is expliclity represented, ie >>> to devise an knowledge representation schema for the BC >>> >>> Although not yet in the literature (struggling with paper writing) one >>> of the roles of KR >>> is to ensure truth preservation across transformations, and to ensure >>> FAIR principles in ML/algorithms >>> So with this in mind, I think we can try to use KR to make it clear once >>> and for all what is the BC >>> >>> What do people think? >>> >>> PDM >>> >>
