Dear all, Apologies for the slight delay in sharing the meeting summary. The minutes from the AI Agent Protocol CG meeting held on July 29, 2026, have now been compiled. Please review them at the link below and feel free to provide any feedback: Meeting minutes: https://github.com/w3c-cg/ai-agent-protocol/blob/main/meetings/2026-07-29.md This meeting focused on the Agent Network Protocol proposal for supporting multiple DID methods, including did:web, did:wba, and did:webvh. The group discussed how different identity methods could address different deployment and security requirements while retaining consistent authentication and encryption mechanisms. Sean also demonstrated an agent client supporting multi-device management and end-to-end encrypted communication. The discussion clarified the distinction between multi-device access for human users and agent-native identity registration and lifecycle. George suggested defining higher-level semantic requirements for identifiers and resolved metadata so that the protocol could support both DID and non-DID identity systems. Ren raised questions about agent-native registration, while Roy asked whether the agent-identity section of the Community Group documents should be updated. Sean will initiate a follow-up discussion on the mailing list or GitHub and check with Gaowei regarding possible document updates. Protocol draft: https://w3c-cg.github.io/ai-agent-protocol/protocol.html GitHub discussion: https://github.com/w3c-cg/ai-agent-protocol/ We welcome any comments on the minutes or on the topics discussed. Best regards, Song and Gaowei
