RE: Update to Advancing Accessibility Resources Community Group

Hi again everyone,

We haven't had anyone come forward with interest of taking over the chair roles, but Kris Anne and I decided that we don't want to be too hasty with shutting down this community group. We decided that we will go on a summer hiatus and return to discuss the future of the group in September. Perhaps our own situations will open up time to dedicate to this group, or others may be interested in continuing on once summer vacations, etc. are over.

Have a great summer everyone and we'll hopefully see you in September!

Thanks,

Brian and Kris Anne

Subject: Update to Advancing Accessibility Resources Community Group

CAUTION:EXTERNAL EMAIL SENDER!

Hi everyone,

After a short hiatus from our regular AAR meetings, Kris Anne and I have come to the realization that we are both not in a position to be able to effectively run the community group. Personal and work obligations have kept us from being able to move the group forward in a meaningful way, so we have to make a decision on its future.

We thought about simply shutting the group down, but didn't want to do that without consulting with everyone that has been a part of the group thus far. We know that we can not continue as co-chairs, so we are giving you the opportunity to step up and take the reins, if that is something that you are interested in doing. We will do everything we can to support the transition and the group going forward. If no one wants to take over chairing for the group, we will then go through the process of shutting it down.

We're disappointed to reach this point, but such is life!

Please reach out to me or Kris Anne by June 13, 2025 (two weeks from today) if you are interested in chairing the group.

Thank you!

Brian
