The editors are already well aware of this problem/complaint. This is nothing new. This is just me being annoying and repetitive. The fact that the syntax is specified twice in the spec, and they are different, is a recipe for exactly this, and it has been so ever since 6265 shipped. Many readers find one of the places, reads that section and then walk away with a wrong understanding. -- / daniel.haxx.se
