Re: I-D Action: draft-ietf-httpbis-connect-tcp-05.txt

Hi HTTPBIS,

During some discussion at IETF 120, we decided this draft needed one more significant change: support for the Capsule Protocol [1].  This is motivated principally by forward-compatibility with draft-schinazi-httpbis-wrap-up, which would be useful for connect-tcp.

Support for the Capsule Protocol is optional for both clients and servers, so this change doesn't add complexity to a minimal compliant implementation.

Abstract:

   TCP proxying using HTTP CONNECT has long been part of the core HTTP
