I've implemented Date and Display String in the HEAD version of http_sfv: https://github.com/mnot/http_sfv ... and added tests for Display String to the common test suite: https://github.com/httpwg/structured-field-tests (Date has already been there for a while) Please take a look, especially at the tests.
