As much as possible, we're avoiding any statements that might imply
any form of blessing on the use of >1 connection to a given server.
The reasons for having more connections are largely spurious.  Other
than in transitory conditions that is, like when you have run out of
stream identifiers and need to spin up a replacement connection
gracefully.
