As you've seen, the -00 versions of the partitioned drafts have been submitted and accepted as WG documents. The purpose of this round of drafts is to verify that the text from 2616 has survived the partitioning intact. Please have a look at the 'diffs' directory linked from <http://svn.tools.ietf.org/svn/wg/httpbis/draft-ietf-httpbis/ >, which will help verify this. We're still planning to get -01 drafts that will resolve many of the editorial issues (approximately to the level of draft-lafon-latest) by the New Year.
