The caching design does sometimes do redundant things (like adding to the
Age header) which would not strictly be necessary, only because downstream
implementations might be broken.  The anti-spoofing check is a similar
redundant thing.

Anyway, I'll take the check out, as most people seem to dislike it.  It is
redundant anyway.
