We first discussed introducing the concept of a "checked out version
selector" to represent the kind of checkout you would do in a
workspace (i.e. in-place). This doesn't really change the protocol,
but hopefully it will clarify the distinction between these two kinds
    of checkouts.

The consensus was that this makes sense, and Geoff will make a pass
through to protocol so we can see how this would look.

Boris then suggested that we allow both a CHECKOUT of a version
selector, and a CHECKOUT of a version, and that the CHECKOUT of a
version selector be in-place, while the CHECKOUT of a version create a
    new working resource.

The consensus was that this also made sense, as long as you can
optionally specify in the body of the CHECKOUT of a version-selector
to direct the CHECKOUT to the current target (so you can get an
out-of-place checkout of the target of a version selector in a single
    request).

As with the previous proposal, this doesn't semantically change the
protocol, but only involves a small change in the way the CHECKOUT
    request is marshalled.

Next we discussed the error codes. We agreed to go ahead with the
current proposal unless someone raises a significant problem with
    them.

Finally, we discussed changing the time of this call, and agreed to
move it to 11am EST on Friday's, with the first call being this Friday
    (9/22).

    Cheers,
    Geoff
