As I have stated in the various email I have sent: - Design team meetings are ok, as long as they are announced on the IETF-announce list, approved by ADs etc etc as we have been talking about, and minutes passed to the minutes@ietf.org - The result of the meetings are NOT "descisions" but suggestions on how to move forward, i.e. no consensus is to be allowed outside of the mailing list. As you know, even IETF meeting "descisions" have to be brought back to the mailing list. - Noone is complaining on the work being done behind closed doors So, yes, a lot of this is how things are presented, and yes, that IS important. I do understand what you say, and understand your reasoning, that you now understand where the problem is, and that you feel that more face-2-face meetings are needed. As you see above, more face2face meetings are ok, but they are not Delta-V working group meetings. > After some reconsideration, I will > be requesting a meeting slot for Delta-V at Adelaide so that we can > continue our work. No problem. It is also the case that as Keith and myself has stated, we have some wg's (not Delta-V) which we have NOT reacted this strongly about, and first when we heard complaints we started acting, and it took some 2 years until the wg was running smooth again. So, even though our words might sound very hard at the moment, we are here to help. > I really think we're > doing some great work, and look forward to seeing you all in Adelaide > where we can pick up where we left off. I also think you do great work, and look forward to see the final deliverables delivered from you (as I do from all wg's :-) Patrik
