Subject: Versioning TeleConf Agenda, 4/3/00 (Monday) 2-3pmEST
phone: 888 819 8909 pass-code#97985
Agenda:
- If we unify the concepts of a workspace and a
configuration, should the result be called a workspace
or a configuration?
- Is a baseline just a checked in workspace?
- Should "stable URL's" be in basic versioning or
should they be introduced in advanced versioning?
- Questions from Tim's email
Note: I neglected to send out minutes from the TeleConf
from 2 weeks ago (there was no call last week). All that
happened was that there was discussion about whether to switch
to static revision selection for workspaces. The consensus
was that it appeared to be a sensible/pragmatic thing to
do, but that we would carry on the discussion in the mailing
list (which has occurred). The second item on the agenda
was the unification of the concept of "workspace" and
"configuration" resulting from the removal of dynamic
revision selection. This item was deferred, and thus
appears again on the agenda for this week.
Cheers,
Geoff
