Dropped? What do you mean?

What version are you using? What does it do?

What output were you expecting instead?

Note that when you provide incorrectly-nested tags, the best Tidy can 
usually do is make a reasonable guess (so to speak). Your idea of the 
"right" correction might not coincide with someone else's.

When I run it, the closing </i> is moved to follow the penultimate 
</font>, which seems reasonable to me: it's the one that closes the first 
<font> after the <i>.
