Summary of TAG activity from 10 Nov to 10 Dec 2003

This is a summary of the TAG's activity from 10 Nov 2003 
(end date of the previous summary [1]) to 10 Dec 2003.

The TAG held four teleconferences and one face-to-face
meeting (in Japan) during this period. Summaries of those

1) Architecture Document

  The TAG is pleased to report that it started a Last Call review
  of "Architecture of the World Wide Web, First Edition" during
  this period. The Last Call Working Draft is available at:

  The Last Call review period ends 5 March 2004, at 23:59 ET The
  TAG encourages you to send Last Call review comments on this
  document before that date to the public W3C TAG mailing list

  The W3C Communications Team issued a press release about the
  Last Call, available at:

2) Issues

  The TAG accepted two issues during this period:

   ultimateQuestion-42: What is the answer to life, the 
                       universe, and everything?

           [Note: This issue was accepted in good humor; cf.
                  the works of Douglas Adams (1952-2001).]
                  
   DerivedResources-43: How are secondary resources derived?

  In addition to those issues, the TAG decided the following
  issues: rdfmsQnameUriMapping-6, errorHandling-20, and
  contentTypeOverride-24.

3) Findings

  The TAG did not publish any new findings during this period.

  The TAG revised one draft finding:

4) Communication

  The TAG participated in a Town Hall session at XML 2003, where
  the group announced the beginning of the Last Call review
  period and participated in discussion about the document with

5) Upcoming events

  The TAG will hold its next face-to-face meeting during the
  Technical Plenary Week 2003 in Mandelieu, France. During that
  week, the TAG will also meet with other Working Groups to
  discuss comments on the Last Call draft and to make progress
  on architecture topics of mutual interest.
