Hi

When the Semantic Web is older and wiser, I should be
able to mechanically find out who amongst the
www-rdf-interest@w3.org readership is planning to attend
a conference - in this case, XML 2003 in Philadelphia this
week. In the meantime, I'm reduced to the low tech
approach: asking. I suspect a long thread of 'me toos'
might bore those of you who aren't attending, but that
it'd be handy to have a sense for who is going to be
there.

So, for those of you attending some or all of
the event whose homepage is
http://www.xmlconference.org/xmlusa/2003/about.asp

...I suggest the following as a procedure: if you're
attending XML2003 and are happy making that known,
reply to my mail, copying www-archive@w3.org instead of
www-rdf-interest@w3.org giving such contact info as
you care to share (photo URL for recognition, hotel,
if you're giving a talk/paper/etc). The www-archive
list is publically archived at
http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-archive/ and so
takes me out of the bottleneck role. If you'd rather
just let me know offlist that you'll be there, that'd be
fine of course.

So for eg, my info:
[[
xml2003 info for Dan Brickley
I'll be there mon night thru friday morning. I will be
contributing to the 'practical rdf' town hall meeting
on thursday which Norm Walsh is facilitating, see
http://www.xmlconference.org/xmlusa/2003/thursday.asp

I also hope to take the opportunity to discuss
the RDF<->XML relationship (re schemas, query etc) with
various folks...

Contact info: it looks like I should have access to
danbri@w3.org email. If online, I will likely be
realtime-contactable via IRC chat in the #rdfig channel
on irc.freenode.net (see irc.freenode.net).

finding me: see homepage http://rdfweb.org/people/danbri/
for blurry mugshot, or [1] for every photo the Semantic
Web knows I appear in (hmm, gotta put a stop to this SemWeb
machine, it knows too much...).
