Detailed introduction to Versa

[Cross-posted between www-rdf-interest@w3.org and ril@lists.fourthought.com]

I have placed a tutorial of Versa at

http://uche.ogbuji.net/tech/rdf/versa/versa-by-example.txt

Versa is an open RDF query language, initially developped by the developers of
4RDF (a partial implementation is built into recent development versions of
4Suite). It is sort of a break-off from RIL (RDF Inference language) in a
similar way that XPath broke off from XSLT. We still plan to implement update
and inference languages on top of Versa, but we've focused on the important
need. I hope other RDF systems will consider implementing Versa. We're
trying to develop it through community process. See

http://rdfinference.org/index.html
http://lists.fourthought.com/mailman/listinfo/ril

If you wish to discuss RIL or Versa, please consider doing so on the latter
mailing list.

Note that The current CVS tip of 4Suite supports all the queries demonstrated
in the tutorial.

Comments welcome. Thanks.
