subproperty question

Dear interest group,

according to the RDF Schema specification http://www.w3.org/TR/rdf-schema/
the rdfs:subClassOf property is transitive (see 
http://www.w3.org/TR/rdf-schema/#s2.3.2 ).

Now: is a subproperty of rdfs:subClassOf also supposed to be transitive?
The specification (http://www.w3.org/TR/rdf-schema/#s2.3.3) doesn't mention 
this
case.
